Over the last 40 years, I’ve been a software entrepreneur and operated several businesses, including an award-winning KOA campground.
I’ve dealt with the same things my clients deal with every day: cash flow pressure, payroll, growth decisions, unexpected tax bills, equipment purchases, bookkeeping headaches, and the constant challenge of trying to build wealth while keeping the IRS satisfied.
That experience is what pushed me into tax strategy and advisory work. I realized many business owners weren’t lacking work ethic or profitability — they were lacking proactive guidance. Most were getting reactive tax preparation after the year was already over, instead of strategic planning while decisions could still make a difference.
When I’m not helping clients build wealth, you’ll find me gardening or hiking with my wife, playing with our grandson or our German Shepherd, Heidi.
