Hello, I’m Scott Heckard, a U.S. Navy Veteran, husband, father of three, and owner of Heckard Tax Prep LLC in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, just outside Hershey. I started Heckard LLC with two clients, my mom and my brother. Today, we serve clients across 17 states while keeping the same personal approach I started with. I want to know my clients, not just the numbers on their tax returns.
I primarily work with small business owners, real estate investors, and medical and dental professionals who need more than once-a-year tax preparation. I help clients reduce their tax burden, evaluate entity structures, navigate real estate strategies, plan for retirement, and make smarter financial decisions for the future.
My approach is about seeing the whole picture. Your business, family, and long-term goals all play a role in your tax strategy. I want you to understand the “why” behind our decisions and be part of the process. I’m available throughout the year to answer questions, evaluate opportunities, and adjust our strategy as life changes.
My Navy background shaped how I work. I value integrity, accountability, urgency, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Outside of work, I enjoy golf, watchmaking, gardening, and time with my family. I’m also an old-school nerd who enjoys computer games, Dungeons & Dragons, and Warhammer 40K with my sons.
My goal is simple: understand what you’re building, help protect it, and provide tax guidance for where you want to go next.
