Richard Lowry

I grew up in Rupert, Idaho, where my roots in hard work and dedication were firmly planted. From the age of eleven, I worked on a farm, milking cows and tending the land. I developed a deep appreciation for the principle of reaping what you sow. My wonderful parents instilled in me the values of faith, discipline, and kindness toward all. As one of seven children, I was blessed with a strong family foundation.

My father, a U.S. Marine, was also a CPA and a highly successful printing business owner. Inspired by his expertise, I took accounting classes in high school and discovered a passion for the field.

I had the privilege of serving a two-year mission in Boston, where I learned the importance of service and gained a profound respect for people of all faiths.

In 1986, I married Anita Pena from Cambridge, and together, we had three magnificent daughters. Tragically, after 19 years of marriage, Anita passed away from stomach cancer just four months after her diagnosis.

Throughout my educational journey, I attended BYU, Boise State, and the College of Idaho, earning degrees in Accounting, Business, and Taxation. My professional career began at Deloitte & Touche in Anchorage, Alaska, where I worked in tax and audit, obtaining the necessary certifications. Later, I served as Director of Audit & Internal Audit for the State of Alaska at the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education, overseeing university and postsecondary school audits.

My career path led me to work with various law firms, providing expertise in taxes, retirement, and billing. I also worked with publicly traded funeral homes under the new Sarbanes-Oxley audit regulations. Eventually, I became the Financial Controller for Shoreside Petroleum, Inc. in Seward, Alaska, where I remained until Anita's passing. Afterward, I relocated to Idaho and worked for CH2M-WG Idaho, LLC, the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), and Battelle Energy Alliance (BEA-INL) in Idaho Falls.

During this time, I met Kelly Hoggan, and we married in January 2007. She and her children brought great joy and blessings into my life, complementing my three daughters. Together, we created a loving, blended family, and over the years, we have been blessed with 11 magnificent grandchildren. In 2012, we moved to Arizona, where we raised our children into adulthood, witnessing each of them marry and start families of their own.

In 2009, Kelly and I founded K & R Tax & Accounting Services, LLC, providing corporate and individual tax services. Our firm flourished, expanding to include legal LLC structuring, estate and trust planning, and professional bookkeeping. By 2023, we welcomed two exceptional partners and rebranded as K&R Strategic Partners, LLC. Today, our team has grown to 30 dedicated professionals, offering a wide range of financial and strategic services as detailed in our company biography.

Through life's triumphs and challenges, I have been blessed beyond measure, and I remain grateful for the opportunities, relationships, and successes that have shaped my journey.
