After earning my B.S. in Accounting from BYU's nationally ranked program, I started my practice in 1999 with a card table and a laptop in the basement of an elderly woman's home, where my wife and I were housesitting. Today it's a full-service firm with a team of five, providing tax preparation, tax planning, payroll, bookkeeping, and financial planning for individuals, small businesses, real estate investors, nonprofits, and estates. We take a holistic approach, working alongside attorneys and other financial specialists so every piece of a client's plan fits together.
As an Enrolled Agent, the highest credential the IRS awards, I have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS and serve clients in all 50 states. I'm also a Main Street Certified Tax Advisor (MSCTA) with particular depth in retirement plans. I invest heavily in studying tax law so I can build strategies that fit each client's situation.
What I enjoy most is the relationships I've built over the years. Watching clients' families, careers, and businesses flourish is one of the greatest rewards of this work. My goal is to give every client peace of mind and confidence that their taxes and finances are sound.
Outside the office, I love spending time with my wife and two children: reading together, playing games, walking our dogs, cheering at our son's soccer games, going to church, and exercising.
