Hi, I’m James Larsen, a Principal at Dark Horse CPAs. With more than 20 years of experience as a CPA and CFP® professional, I help individuals, business owners, and real estate investors navigate complex tax decisions with clarity and confidence. By combining tax preparation with proactive, year-round planning, I help clients reduce their tax burden, improve financial efficiency, and make informed decisions about their future.
My experience includes tax planning and compliance, tax resolution, business structuring, wealth-building strategies, and succession planning. I hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Northridge, and a master’s degree in taxation from Golden Gate University. My approach is practical and personal. I take the time to understand each client’s goals and turn complicated tax issues into clear, actionable strategies.
