A Principal at Dark Horse CPAs, he draws on more than 16 years in public accounting, corporate accounting, and taxation to connect tax advice with the realities of running a business and managing personal finances.
His clients include individuals, small business owners, real estate investors, and those working in agriculture and manufacturing. Whether addressing an outstanding tax issue, evaluating a business structure, or planning for growth, Gary focuses on recommendations that fit the client’s circumstances. His work encompasses tax advisory and preparation, tax resolution, and strategies to reduce tax liability and build wealth over time. He believes clients should understand the reasoning behind his recommendations so they can weigh their options and decide what works best for them.
Originally from Lovell, Wyoming, Gary served in the United States Marine Corps after high school as a Forward Observer with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton, California. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Bakersfield.
Away from the office, Gary enjoys spending time with his wife, Melanie, and their three children, Aidan, Matthew, and Alyssa. He especially enjoys getting outdoors with family and making memories together.
